松尾観魚苑について

松尾観魚苑は50年以上に渡り熱帯魚中心に取り扱うショップとして、多くの市民に愛されながら営んできました。 近年では店舗のスペースに「所沢市包括支援センター」が入居したほか、フードパントリーや街のこどもを集めた寺子屋を開くなど地域のボランティア活動の拠点としても機能しており、この街に暮らす人々の「第3の居場所」を作ることがコンセプトとなっています。大友祥碁は、「第3の居場所」創出に向けたイベントである「スマホカフェ」を始めとした地域コミュニティーに寄与するプロジェクトを企画・実施する傍ら、本店舗の一部をオフィス及び制作スペースとして借用する中で、地域と店舗、大友の三者間における新たな価値創造の形を模索しています。

About “Matsuo Kangyoen”

For over 50 years, Matsuo Aquarium has been a tropical fish shop loved by many citizens. In recent years, the “Tokorozawa City Comprehensive Support Center” has moved into the store’s space, and it has also functioned as a base for local volunteer activities, such as opening a food pantry and a temple school for children in the town. The concept is to create a “third place” for the people living in this town. Shogo Otomo plans and implements projects that contribute to the local community, such as the “Smartphone Cafe” event to create this “third place.” While borrowing a part of the main store as an office and production space, he is exploring new ways to create value among the local community, the store, and himself.
